Own the chain, own the outcome
The moment you hand a project off, you hand off its soul. We keep design, sourcing, factory and site under one accountable roof.
Our philosophy
Interior design was, for too long, a private language spoken between architects and the very wealthy. Namatha Bagri built FORRE to translate it — to give the discipline of design and the dignity of true craftsmanship to every serious space in India.

The Promotor
An alumna of the University of the Arts London, Namatha apprenticed under David Koo in Singapore before returning to India with an unfashionable belief: that supply chains could be reshaped by taste.
In 2010 she began importing premium furniture from Foshan and Milan. In 2016 she started manufacturing her own. In 2018, Guinness recorded the store rollout she led for Xiaomi. Today she runs one of Southern India's most integrated design and manufacturing houses — still, quietly, obsessed with the same detail.
Guinness World Record · 2018
Xiaomi Mi Store program — largest simultaneous store opening.
Our Beliefs
The moment you hand a project off, you hand off its soul. We keep design, sourcing, factory and site under one accountable roof.
HOMAG and CEFLA give us precision. Our carigars give us character. Neither replaces the other — both are non-negotiable.
We deploy cost-effective strategies to deliver premium, affordable furniture. Democratizing taste is the whole point.
We interrogate every requirement — because a client's imagination is worth defending against our own assumptions.
Vertical integration is not merely a business model. It is the only honest way to deliver a nation-scale rollout on time.
The screw no one sees. The joinery no one photographs. That is where perfection actually lives.
The Promoter's Timeline
Every milestone below is not a business event — it is a belief the promoter had to build a company around. Scroll through fifteen years, one conviction at a time.
The seed
"A room should keep the promise its drawing made."
Namatha Bagri founds FORRE in Hyderabad — not as a brand, but as a personal refusal to let good ideas die between the designer's page and the client's floor.
Import, curated
"Sourced, never settled."
The studio begins by importing carefully curated pieces from Italian and Chinese ateliers — building a decade of relationships that still supply FORRE today.
Own the floor
"You cannot own the outcome without owning the chain."
Tired of what she cannot control at ports, Namatha opens FORRE's first manufacturing floor. Design, drawings and dust now live in the same building.
Precision
"Machines set the tolerance. Craftsmen set the soul."
German CNC lines and Italian robotic finishing enter the floor — quietly rewriting what a South Indian atelier can deliver at scale.
World record
"Speed is the twin of quality — not its opposite."
FORRE executes the Mi Store rollout for Xiaomi across India, earning a Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous store opening.
One accountable studio
"The last screw is tightened by a FORRE hand."
The studio crosses three acres, 150+ in-house staff, and a bench of carigars who have been with us for over a decade — design to handover under one roof.
The continuing arc
"Nothing leaves this house until it is right."
FORRE turns fifteen with the same founding sentence — now written in wood, metal and light across residences, campuses and clubhouses nationwide.

A letter from the founder
Dear reader,
I did not start FORRE to sell furniture. I started it because I was tired of seeing beautiful ideas die in transit — between the designer's drawing and the factory's floor, between the promise on a mood board and the compromise in a delivered room.
We built FORRE so those ideas would survive the journey intact. Every machine we imported, every craftsman we trained, every process we invented — all of it in service of one small ambition: a room that keeps its promise.
Thank you for reading this far. The rest of the story we would like to write with you.
